We believe the church is the body of Christ tasked with His work until He returns.

Partnership with the local church enables believers in Uganda and believers in the US to work together towards gospel transformation.

Hands of Love works closely with David Ssekabogo and the Purposeful Living Church.  We believe that the local church is the bride of Christ, and the very way God works in this world today.  Local churches are the places to bring love and truth to the hurting world around them.  Purposeful Living is actively living this, and we couldn’t be more excited to join them!

Other local churchs in the US have joined in the calling to reach “the least of these” in Uganda.  These churches have also experienced great blessings by being a part of this mission.  It has been a way for the body of Christ to join together and be a part of something bigger and grander than any one person can do by themselves.  Congregations have come alive by giving, going and loving these precious children in Uganda.

David Ssekaboga is the founding pastor of Purposeful Living Church, est 2007. He is bi-vocational and also works full time for the Ugandan government as a Wakiso Deputy District Health Officer overseeing approximately 150 health workers near Kampala. He holds three Master’s degrees, one in Public Health, one in Public Infrastructure Management, and a Master of Divinity.

Purposeful Living Church is a Bible-based, family-centered, non-denominational church with a mission of winning the lost to Christ and teaching the saved to live a purposeful life. They meet in a large tent, have about 200 members, and offer services and ministry to the surrounding community.  They have begun construction of a permanent church and hope to begin worshipping there in 2024.

Something beautiful happens with each trip as we gather from all over the world and come together in Jesus’ name.  Everyone is blessed, and you can’t help but go home a transformed person when you offer to be the hands and feet of Jesus.  Contact us today to find out how your church can be involved!
